local spot check: natomas/ folsom bike path

super cool local bike path in the sacto region. we did 16.9 miles starting at the parking lot at the top of folsom dam. we rode down to natomas along the american river canyon. ending at the natomas fish hatchery. salmon spawn season is amazing as the fishermen line up in the eddy fence to attempt a catch at a massive 3 foot salmon beast. from the bridge you can watch these massive fish rest from the challenge of scaling the fish gate. the ride home takes you on the opposite side of the river through old town folsom. the ride home is a sweet little 3 mile climb back to your car. shred on! and wear your helmet! love! enjoy! -s/p.
