the joy of coffee.

its funny how life comes full circle in small ways. at one point in time i was barista working in a small coffee house run by an amazingly eclectic man by the name of ed. this man is in love with coffee. he roasts all the beans in store and serves organic fair trade beans as the norm. when learning to make the perfect espresso ed made me taste every shot to insure consistency. lets just say i developed an eye twitch from that event. fast forward the story 10 years and i am in the forests of northern california volunteering at a camp for high school youth. as i stroll into the camp coffee house i notice that the camp espresso machine is the exact same model, year and color that i learned to make espresso on at ed’s! long story longer i have had the opportunity to return to my barista roots! there is a simple joy in presented someone with a good cup of coffee and in knowing that you helped jump start their day. enjoy!
